Your Senior Photo Experience
Being a senior is both exciting and nerve-wrecking. You're excited about finally graduating and getting on with your life after high school, either in college, starting a working life or traveling the world. At the same time, you're trying to figure out which college, what job or which backpack will be best for scaling the Rocky Mountains. Yikes!
I remember being in that place many years ago -- that place of indecision and apprehension, but I've also lived it vicariously more recently through the many teens I've encouraged and supported as a volunteer church youth leader for almost 20 years. It's a challenging time in your life, but an inspiring and fantastic time in your life!
I know how important it is for you, the senior, to look and feel confident, show your unique personality and be respected as an individual during your senior photo session.
The best way to see your personality is when you feel like you can relax and be yourself.
When we meet to talk about your photo session, I'll help you to relax and feel comfortable as we talk through your photo session. I'll listen to what you've envisioned your photo session to be, I'll give you some ideas about what I can create for you, and we'll come up with some really cool images to tell your story of who you are and who you want to be.
Location and Time of Day
I have several places where I like to photograph seniors, but I'm always open to suggestions of other photo session locations that you may have. Whether you’re looking for a park, rural, urban or historic location, I have a spot in mind! The best time to photograph is very early morning or early evening about an hour before sunset (the golden hour).
What To Wear?
As a rising senior or senior, you should wear clothing that is comfortable and makes you feel confident. Confidence is always attractive in portraits. Colorful clothing in solids are best, but clothing with small prints or patterns that bring out your personality are also good as long as they are not distracting from the most important subject -- you!
